Beta Tester Agreement
Beta Tester Agreement v1 — 2026-10-29 · effective October 29, 2026
EstiMates (including BidMates) is in beta. It is made by Codemates. Thanks for helping us test it. This agreement is between you and Codemates. By ticking “I agree” you accept it for yourself and for the company you use EstiMates for. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the beta.
1. Keep it confidential
The beta, its features, how it works, and anything we tell you about our plans are confidential.
Please don’t share screenshots, recordings, or descriptions of the product, its features, or how it works with anyone outside your company. Sharing inside your company with people who need it for testing is fine, as long as they keep it confidential too.
This doesn’t cover information that is already public through no fault of yours.
2. Don’t copy it
Don’t copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or automatically extract data from EstiMates, and don’t try to work out how it works under the hood (for example its models, prompts, or code).
Don’t use the beta, or anything you learn from it, to build, help build, or improve a product that competes with EstiMates.
Your own plan sets, takeoffs, and bid data stay yours; this section is about our product, not your data.
3. Your feedback
We’d love your feedback: what works, what doesn’t, what you wish it did. You agree that we may use any feedback or suggestions you give us, freely and without paying you, to improve EstiMates.
4. Beta access
Beta access is free. We may change, pause, or end the beta, or your access to it, at any time and for any reason, unless we have granted you lifetime access in writing.
If we grant you lifetime access, it is for your workspace at the plan we name in writing, and it lasts as long as we run EstiMates and you follow this agreement.
5. No warranty
The beta is unfinished and is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Features may change, break, or be removed. AI suggestions (sheet names, scales, answers, counts) can be wrong; always check them before relying on them in a bid.
To the extent the law allows, Codemates is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, lost bids, or lost profits from using the beta.
6. Keep your own copies
Keep your own copies of your plan sets and any data you put into EstiMates. Test data may be reset or deleted during the beta, with or without notice.
7. Ending and changes
You can stop using the beta at any time. Sections 1, 2, 3, and 5 continue after your access ends.
If we change this agreement we’ll update the version and date at the top, and ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in.
