Upload a plan set
- Open the project and drop the PDF on “Drop a plan set PDF here”, or click to choose it. It can be up to 500 MB.
- Wait while it shows “Preparing…” and then “Finishing…”. Each page becomes a sheet you can zoom.
- Scanned sheets are read with OCR so they're searchable too.
Review sheet names and scales
EstiMates reads the title blocks and suggests a name and scale for each sheet. Nothing is saved until you accept it.
- Sheets with something to check show “Name to review” or “Scale to review”. Click the sheet card.
- Each suggestion shows its “Evidence”: the text and spot on the sheet it came from.
- Click “Accept”, “Edit” (then “Save name” or “Save scale”), or “Reject”.
- To speed things up, use “Accept {n} names above 90%” on the plan set.
Set or fix a sheet's scale
- Open the sheet, then “Sheet details” › “Scale” › “Calibrate with two points”.
- Tap the start of a dimension you know, then its end.
- Type the “Real distance”, for example 12'-6" or 3.6 m, and click “Save scale”.
- Or type the printed scale under “Or enter the printed scale” and click “Save”.
Search and Plan Chat
- Type in “Search sheets…” at the top of the project (press / to jump there). Results are grouped by sheet; click one to open it at the spot.
- Click “Plan Chat” and ask a question, for example “ceiling height in 204?”.
- Each answer lists its “Sources”. Click one to open the sheet where it says so.
Plan Chat answers only from the text on this project's sheets, so check the sources it cites.
Find and count symbols
- In the sheet viewer, click the “Find symbol” icon, then “Draw a box” around one symbol.
- Say “What is it?” and choose “This sheet” or “Whole set”, then “Find matches”.
- Go through the matches with “Accept” and “Reject” (or “Accept all”). Only accepted matches are counted.
- Download the totals with “Counts CSV”, and the sheet list with “Sheet index CSV”, from the project page.
